I was raised on a budget, things could be tight, but you wouldn't know it the way my mama decorated.  She could take yard sale finds, refurbish them, and they looked like brand new and one of a kind.  I am happy to say that she passed that gift on to me.

It has been a long time dream to have a fireplace in my bedroom and seating to be able to play chess with my husband, read a book, and sit by the fire.  I didn't have it in my budget so I purchased an electric fireplace for $105, made a mantel for $25, refurbished a $10 coffee table with leftover paint, fabric painted a $30 antique chair, and added pillows to an old whicker chair.

Then sings my soul, my Saviour God, to Thee;

How great Thou art, how great Thou art!

Our Master Bedroom is a mixture of masculine, feminine, farm, and elegance.  I mixed different shades of cream, white, black, gray, and green.

For the kids classroom, I wanted a serene space.  I mixed wood, glass, and metal, as well as a beautiful mixture of cream, grey, brown, and green.  The room is compartmentalized into study sections: History, Language, Science, Math, and Art.

Guest Room

This project was so much fun because I literally had a mini budget.  In one night I through it together with:

-Cow Print for $10

-1 Pillow for $8, 1 I had already

-A bedspread from Mama

-An art print we found in the attic of this house when we moved in.

-An old dresser.

-Odds and ends I found around the house.

All together made a serene cow themed room.

Children's Bathroom

Our kids could not agree on a theme for their bathroom.  Our son wanted Harry Potter and Grey, our daughter wanted Flowers and Yellow.  So I did both..... I did an owl theme, with yellow, black, and grey.  I used an antique apothecary cupboard, porcelain tray, industrial lighting and IKEA cart, let my daughter paint  a grey owl on yellow background, added a verse from Matthew 17:20 and voila!
